At 70 years from the Liberation of Italy, the key moments of the recent history of the peninsula are re-read, through the words of politicians, intellectuals, soldiers, fighters, common people: from Calamandrei to Ernesto Rossi, from Fenoglio to Pavese, from Tina Anselmi to Sandro Pertini, and then Giaime Pintor, Roosevelt, Salvatore Giuliano, Malaparte and many others. With images from the Luce Historical Archive and texts interpreted by Massimo Ranieri and Ludovica Sistopaoli.
