The film is set at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Mr. Johnny First, a cinema missionary with the manners of a true gentleman, goes to the Wild West town of Santa Carolina to open a cinema there. Human life is cheap here, and a careless word can cause a mass brawl. The main entertainment of the residents - drunkenness, debauchery and assault.
