A Year at Sherbrooke

Directed by Thomas Hale
Photographer Thelma Pepper and painter Jeff Nachtigall believe that creativity is essential for being fully alive. A Year At Sherbrooke follows these two artists as they work with the residents of Sherbrooke Community Centre, a Canadian facility that is gaining international recognition for its innovations in long-term care. The film does not shy away from the challenges faced by the residents, but it offers a powerful message on the healing power of creativity. Art, Thelma and Jeff show, can give hope to the hopeless. A Year At Sherbrooke is an experience not easily forgotten.
