Abdallah, who lives with his donkey Rumswiddel and seven old chickens, earns his living with small tricks and selling vegetables. One day, however, a tip from the magic raven Turban grants Abdallah his wish that his donkey should be smarter and be able to speak. With the help of his wise donkey, Abdallah soon finds wealth, a beautiful woman - and a lot of problems that come with it.
