Aphrodites
Directed by Aleksandr RogozhkinIt's winter on the island of Cyprus. A Russian businessman, the owner of a hotel in Cyprus, is trying to find a way to attract tourists to the island. He hires a creative showman who proposes holding a contest called "Aphrodite." The idea is that in the very place where, according to legend, Aphrodite once appeared, female contestants will appear, thereby temporarily becoming Aphrodite. The audience must choose the winner - a modern-day Aphrodite. Both contestants and the audience are invited to do so. The story then unfolds, hilarious and absurd, with our characters caught in various situations. The idea proves intriguing, and there's a chance it will become an annual and popular event.
