Amérika, terra incógnita is a visually driven, largely wordless film that reimagines the colonial encounter. A conquistador returns to Europe from the Americas with exotic treasures and an Indigenous chief, who becomes a curiosity at a royal court. Through symbolic tableaux, the film reflects on conquest, cultural otherness, and the unsettling meeting of worlds from a reversed, allegorical perspective.
