The action takes place in Cannes ,in 1941.Annette,a birdbrained romantic girl thinks she is in love with a famous lawyer,Maurice Cammage.In order to meet him,she wrecks the woman she considers her rival's room.Then she gives herself up.Maurice has her released and taken back to her mom who locks her in her bedroom.She escapes, visits Maurice ,brusquely leaves him and runs to the harbor where the lawyer saves her from drowning.
