In 1946, Beate Uhse met her future husband Ewe Rotermund. In his refugee shelter, she begins to advise the women in contraception. The need for education in prude post-war Germany is enormous and Beate and Ewe bring the legendary "Font X" across the Knaus-Ogino contraceptive method - the starting signal for her own company.
