10-year-old Sem is visiting his grandmother in a grubby, dim hospital. As soon as he arrives at the hospital he finds out that he's not the only one visiting her; his mother has also invited her new friend, and Sem absolutely hates him. Until he finds himself in a painful situation and he needs all the help he can get.
