The Tasmanian Government proposed to dam the Gordon river in the state's pristine south-west. After opposition from conservationists and with a change in the Government in Canberra construction was finally and dramatically halted in July 1983. This film deals with the issue by interviewing conservationists, developers, the commissioner of the hydro-electric plan.
