BR Tales: Neville
Directed by Augustus AndersonFollowing the amalgamation of the big four, King of Birmingham, Sir Langley, and Baxton have all been located to the same part of the railway just as a new steam engine named Neville they have never seen before arrives following his service during the war. After assuming he is a diesel, the others find Neville to be a kind engine. Neville is put to work at the docks to help Samuel, although the two don't get along. Neville tries to save Samuel from crashing, only for the diesel to be angry. The next day, while Birmingham, Baxton, and Langley discuss something Langley had witnessed. Samuel tries to come up with a revenge plan and puts it into action by stopping on the overpass while double heading a goods train with Neville. Neville tries to move the train himself but is unable to, while Samuel tries to use the excuse of him having cramps. The overpass strains under the weight of the two engines and their train and collapses just as Birmingham is traveling on the line below. All three are sent to the works, and Samuel is sent away by the BR Manager. Neville is sent to Sodor for a brief time to help Sir Topham Hatt. Upon his return to BR, he finds that Langley has become less popular than before, and that Baxton had been sent away. He is assigned to take some empty cars to the docks, as without Samuel or Baxton, trains are piling up. Neville is then ordered to take some loaded cars away, which he does, but becomes a runaway in the process, barely stopping the trucks before crashing into the big station. After he is repaired, he finds a new diesel engine sitting in the shed.
