As immigrant families across the United States face uncertainty and fear, and as America grapples amid a sea of misinformation, Brotherhood issues a call to every American to re-consider the message of one of our most beloved patriotic anthems: "And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea" Brotherhood tells the story of two next-door neighbors: Jon, a white US citizen, and Fabián, a Mexican immigrant stuck in more than a decade-long holding pattern awaiting progress of his US asylum application. The plot follows the experiences of the two men and their families as they navigate the difficulties of 2025-2026 and are awakened to a deeper sense of what it means to be American and to love your neighbor. The project is intended as an agent of self-reflection, inviting audiences, through an emotionally powerful, music-driven experience, to question what America means to them and how their beliefs drive their actions.
