Carlos (Carlos Gardel) is a good for nothing eternal student crazy for a bad woman Raquel (Mona Maris) despite the fact that a good girl, Rosa (Anita Campillo), who works in the students bar, is in love with him. Tied-up by this insane relation, he leaves Buenos Aires to go to Paris first and New York with her, while his life is going downhill.
