Ursel Piepenkötter, the incumbent mayor of Lautringen, is about to run for office in the upcoming mayoral election for her party. But the town's Turkish community is determined to finally build its new mosque. While this pleases their religious leader, the new imam, it puts Ursel Piepenkötter in a huge political bind. She has no choice but to thwart the imam's plans. The duel between two cunning, stubborn, and hot-headed individuals begins.
