After his wife's death, photographer Michael Bender devotes himself entirely to raising his nine-year-old daughter, Sammy. He makes great sacrifices for her, as Michael is actually a sought-after fashion photographer. To fulfill the lucrative assignments abroad, he would have to send Sammy to boarding school. The loving father, however, has no intention of separating from his daughter – he would rather accept financial hardship. But this makes it difficult for Michael to pay off the debts he incurred for his wife's expensive medical treatment.
