Les Dawson revisits his local childhood cinema, encountering a selection of characters in this nostalgic flashback to the golden days of the Silver Screen - when you could have a night at the flicks, enjoy fish and chips on the way home and still have change from a two-bob piece. Cosmo Smallpiece enthusiastically watches a fashion show on the big screen, Les and Roy play Holmes and Watson in "The Mystery of Grisly Manor", Les plays his own father in a sketch with his real-life son, and finally features in a slapstick black-and-white silent film... ending up with a custard pie in the face for his trouble.
