His owner became angry with him for this and punished him by putting him in a sack and abandoning him in the forest. A fox saw the cat and asked who he was, to which the cat replied pompously that he was a Siberian cat, of heroic height, with a black coat and a mustache like a Turk. His name was Kotofey Ivanovich. The cat then asked who had met him.
