Gay USA Ratings & Reviews
Bay Area Reporter
Brian Bromberger
The landmark documentary "Gay USA" by the gay director Arthur Bressan, Jr., captures the 1977 Gay Freedom Day march in San Francisco, but also parades in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego, and Philadelphia.
Gay Community News (Boston)
Michael Bronski
Gay USA is well worth the trip to the theater.

Glenn Dunks
Bressan is clearly keen to not linger on the ugliness, although as his cameras and microphones highlight antagonistic words and voices amid the crowds, it's impossible to truly escape. Just as in life, I suppose.

Bressan's montage presents a dialectical opposition of sound and image, giving the work a spirited tone of debate.
