On the Web, videos and discussion forums extolling the virtues of therapeutic cannabis raise the hopes of patients suffering from chronic pathologies. But are these unverifiable anecdotes or real advances? Since 2017, a law in Germany has allowed its use as a last resort, when other therapies have failed. Cannabis is sold on prescription and can be reimbursed by social security. While some doctors, such as psychologist Eva Hoch, feel that there is too little knowledge on the subject and are surprised that these substances are prescribed, others defend them, having seen their benefits on their patients. But not everyone is equal when it comes to cannabis. The effects vary, from lasting relief to addiction to hallucinations.
