This documentary is an in-depth portrait of two notable writers, George Crane, a writer of memoirs, and Barry Tagrin, a poet; both men have been living abroad for decades on the island of Paros, Greece. George Crane escaped America in the late 1960's as a conscientious objector to the Vietnam War while Barry Tagrin's nomadic life led him through Europe looking for adventure. Now fading hippies in their early 70's, both men barely escaped death: Tagrin while running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain; Crane by being almost assassinated in a moving vehicle in Morocco. We hear about their rough childhoods, their liaisons with woman, their thoughts on the nature of art and writing and why they chose to live abroad. 1 hour, 3 minutes
