What is identity and where does it come from? In the 19th Century, County Durham in North East England, saw its population increase dramatically as mine workers and their families moved into the area in search of work. Built on coal, these pit towns and villages forged their own unique identity. Interwoven in the fabric of this, is community and an unwavering resilience in the face of adversity.
