The illicit satisfaction of curiosity drags the lives of seven people into a vortex that envelops, traps and brings them into conflict with one another. Every remnant of normality is eroded by the disruptive force of secrets, some small and some unbearable, each with its own noise. Andrea is a photographer and Andreina is a nurse. If Andrea is still alive today, it is because Andreina gave him a piece of herself. Umberto alleviates pain at work, but inflicts it on Alba at home. She had simple dreams, but has now stopped dreaming. Ralph makes a living by producing sounds, while Viola is an actress who has chosen to act in life as well. Then there is ten-year-old Mirko, who makes a lot of noise. For years, three families have brushed past each other on the streets of Milan without knowing each other. They spend their lives amid resentment, lies and moments of happiness, until an unexpected encounter turns everything upside down. Then chaos overtakes the fragile balance that sustains them, threatening to sweep them all away.
