On July 14, 2015, in Vienna, Tehran renounced military nuclear power after years of tensions with the international community. The historic agreement marked Iran's great return to the table of the globalized economy. Since then, the Islamic republic has strengthened its status as a regional power, while venturing beyond its borders. Directly participating in the conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, strengthening its influence in Lebanon thanks to Hezbollah, Iran sows doubt among its allies as well as among its opponents: Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic revolution, would he have expansionist aims?
