It is shot in black and white to recall the gangster-noir movies of the 30's and 40's. Shakespeare's language has been preserved with just a few edits to fit the context of the film. As Caesar is about to be made the new 'don', Cassius convinces Brutus, Caesar's most trusted friend, to join a conspiracy to assassinate him because he has become too 'ambitious'.
