Detective Moto Katayama of the Kochi Central Police Station is dismissed after a suspect escapes during a train transport. He starts working at a cabaret through an introduction from the head of the employment office, who was introduced to him by the police chief. However, it turns out to be a sting operation orchestrated by the police chief. Through a series of unexpected events, Katayama ends up receiving a ceremonial sake cup from the head of the Yamanashi-gumi yakuza group.
