The birth of a painting, of a work of art, is a journey through a foreign land that nourishes itself with ideas, light, colours and raw materials: the artist is the catalyst of a connection between the imagination and the reality. It's a lonely path of moulding, which leads to the creation of something that feeds on light and stabilizes in the pigments through the painter's hands and brushes. It's a material making of impalpable particles. It's a constantly evolving process that takes shape on the canvas and is disclosed little by little: starting from the genesis of the idea till its completion, the work of art germinates as a son of the artist, as a new living being. Its coming into the world is like the blossoming of a flower during a spring's warm afternoon.
