Label Me Ratings & Reviews
The Pink Lens
Ben Turner
A movie with a slight runtime but massive ideas, this is a piece that actually suffers from being too short. Schuh is outstanding as Waseem and you'll learn to love their weirdly dysfunctional chalk-and-cheese relationship.
Film Threat
Andrew Emerson
Label Me gets two crucial things right. In Schuch and Benda, Kreuser has found a perfect pairing, two performers who can pack worlds of emotional nuance into something as simple as a stare or a grimace.
Orca Sound
Carey-Ann Pawsey
Label Me, directed and written by Kai Kreusel (directed German television series Kuntergrau), is just such a film. It deals with several issues besides sex as well. A film exploring what it means to be human while acknowledging that it involves sex.
Gayly Dreadful
Terry Mesnard
Label Me impressed me from the very beginning, mostly because of the powerful and empathetic performances by Schuch and Benda.
Eye for Film
Jennie Kermode
Quiet, restrained performances by the two leads make this film much more affecting than it might have been and add to the sense of mystery as both men keep their secrets.
The Hollywood Reporter
David Rooney
A sexy, atmospheric mood piece that marks German writer-director Kai Kreuser as a talent to watch.
