When her boss Doris cancels her vacation, Laura can't be stopped. After a car breakdown, which makes repairs lasting several days inevitable, she ends up stranded in the Bergisches Land. In idyllic Blumberg, the woman from Cologne not only gets to know celebratory country women, but also the good-looking farmer Paul. At the village festival there is a spontaneous first kiss. Paul's father, whose farm barely makes ends meet, and his childhood friend Katja, who has always been in love with him, are not very happy that the self-confident newly in love thwarts their plans for the future. When Laura realizes how her spontaneous break is turning into an unplanned restart, she too wants to pull the ripcord. While the city girl prepares for the jump, her new friend Johanna from the country women is sure that she will come back soon.
