Maria Bodin, a tough 87-year-old farmer, is losing her mind. Placed against her will in a retirement home, she decides to bequeath her farm to her son Christian, who has been living in exile in Paris with his wife and children for several years. Christian sees this as an opportunity to return home. But isn't this unexpected inheritance a poisoned chalice?
