Baron is a naive and kind young man who lives with his dying mother in a small town. He falls in love with Marmalade, a mysterious woman who grew up in foster care. She convinces him to rob a bank with her, but things go wrong and he ends up in prison. There, he meets Otis, his cellmate, who offers to help him escape. However, Otis has a secret agenda that will change Baron's life forever.
