During World War II, several thousand Danish men and women make a choice. They put their lives on the line to fight Nazism and the German occupation of Denmark. The choice will have major consequences for those involved and for the families they return home to. Because even though the parents are heroes - they are also deeply traumatized. But times are different. Trauma is not treated professionally. And trauma that is not treated continues like rings in the water to the next generation - to the children of the Resistance.
