Monarda
Directed by Walter UngererThis work is an exploration through digital manipulation of some motion clips I recorded in my garden of various plants, flowers and birds. The project title Monarda, also called Bee Balm, refers to a red flower particularly attractive to the hummingbird for its nectar. I limited myself to working with only a few motion clips, relying on several software programs to suggest the direction of the project. Abstract colors, shapes, and sounds were the refined results, and the core elements used to produce the film.
