The commander of the Syrian king's army, Naaman was a war hero and of great prestige before his lord, however, he was a leper. Seeking help, Naaman decided to go to the prophet Elisha who explained exactly what he must do to be healed. At first, Naaman refused to carry out the prophet's direction, after all, his pride was worse than his leprosy.
