SEVEN OUT OF EVERY TEN PEOPLE IN THE WORLD live in countries considered to have neither freedom nor democracy, according to the United Nations. A number that has been growing significantly in recent years. In this scenario, the largest country in Central America has also been the stage for political regimes that restrict the freedom of its citizens: we are talking about Nicaragua. In the streets, the opposition to the current dictator, Daniel Ortega, clamors for freedom. A war that is no longer only against a dictatorship, but for the preservation of a nation's history and freedom. We revisit Nicaragua's past with a single intention: to bring to the world the history of a people that today is victim of its own country's government. An unprecedented investigation with people who claim to have lived through the Nicaraguan dictatorship, including Zoilamérica Murillo - stepdaughter of current dictator Daniel Ortega - Humberto Belli, former minister of education and historian, as well as other survivors and political exiles.
