Heinz is now a well-established veterinarian in Klückow and is in the firm - albeit not always present - care of his wife Jana. And now - as Aunt Alma slowly lets go of her worries about her beloved nephew - Dr. Kröpelin finally sees his chance: he proposes to Alma. She wouldn't be averse to the idea at all, were it not for his "bloodthirsty" hobby: hunting. For Alma, spending time together in a hunting blind is still not a desirable prospect. But the more she refuses, the more determined Kröpelin becomes to marry her despite everything, whatever the cost. And it costs him dearly before it comes to that - namely, complete surrender with all the consequences. Giving up his hobby, moving to Berlin, and so on and so forth. This leads to new complications for the unlikely couple, which fray the nerves of everyone involved but ultimately lead to a well-deserved happy ending for Alma and Kröpelin.
