Davide Lancia, a wealthy forty-year-old with refined tastes and a penchant for all things beautiful—from women to art—owes his fortune to the fact that he is the son of one of Rome's most powerful and unscrupulous developers. To spur him on, his father offers him the chance to finally prove he can be a worthy heir to his empire: he must demolish a dilapidated building and construct a luxury high-rise in its place. It's a deal Davide can't pass up. However, there is still one tenant living in the building who has no intention of leaving her apartment: Ursula, a blind, beautiful, determined, and feisty woman. His encounter with Ursula will throw Davide's plans into disarray and allow him to open up to a new way of living and seeing things.
