Squeezed in the trunk of a police car, prisoners drift from one jail to another. Arrested mostly for petty theft, they are now trapped in a bureaucratic limbo, sharing overcrowded cells that, legally, don't even exist. Although it looks like a Kafkaesque fiction, this is the routine of POLINTER, Rio de Janeiro's jail system.
