Michal Król lives in a provincial town. After a tragic accident caused by the government's negligence, he decides to enter politics and run for mayor. Already during the election campaign, he encounters illegal methods of political struggle. A series of fatal events, including an attempt on his life, causes him to lose his family, dignity and social respect. However, his strength and determination won't let him give up.
