Russian Detective
Directed by Mikhail KokshenovWhen seasoned swindler Anatoly Papik was arrested, his relatives and accomplices decided to flee to hot countries, to be on the safe side. His wife went to Greece, his boss went to Spain, and his "junior employees" Shilo and Puzyr went to Turkey. How surprised they were when, on the Mediterranean coast, they came face to face with Papik, who theoretically should be "steaming in jail." After some investigative measures, it turned out that this was not Papik, but an Englishman named Michael Smith who looked very much like him. The swindlers came up with a cunning plan to replace Smith with Papik, who was in jail.
