It is a small cemetery, bordering the valley that separates Algeria from Morocco. It is called the cemetery of Sidi Amar, because it is where the marabout has been laid to rest in some miserable barrack, in the form of a mausoleum. It is here that he perished at the beginning of the 20th century. He has become the confidant of the population of a whole territory as families come to ask him to intercede in their favor; women come to him in search of a husband; and a man seeks to succeed in the perilous crossing of the Mediterranean.
