A trivial story with a mysterious theft of a VCR turns into a grotesque and dark farce, when the acting director of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan's character terrorizes students and teachers with a calloused dictatorial hand. And now young "patriots" punish their "dissident" peers who join the ranks of the "pioneer youth". An ordinary school laboratory turns into a place of torture.
