The Four Noble Truths
Directed by David CherniackFilmed in London in 1997, this documentary chronicles a series of lectures given by the 14th Dalai Lama. Over the course of six hours, he covers the four basic principles of Buddhist thought: The existence of suffering, the cause of suffering, the cessation of suffering and the way that leads to the cessation of suffering. He then explains the Buddhist worldview and how one can reach the path to inner peace through meditation.
