To combat the disease of racial prejudice, modern societies have drafted and passed legislation to ensure that people would “treat” each other with respect and dignity, allowing everyone the inalienable right to life and liberty. While man’s actions can be legislated, his hearts and fears cannot. Thus, society continues to suffer from the disease.
