In Siberia, senior lieutenant Pyotr Stepanov - the boss of a young militiaman Ivan Fedotov - received a three-day trip to Moscow, but he cannot fly. Therefore, he orders Ivan to go to Moscow instead of himself, gives him his voucher and tickets and forces Ivan, who refuses (out of modesty), to board the plane, which immediately takes off.
