Poetry in motion as an aging, reclusive painter sets out into the wilderness to create a final masterpiece and obtain a kind of "divine affirmation" that his life spent as an artist has not been in vain. Meanwhile, a young boy looks on documenting his observations of the artist at work, which becomes the text of the poem and narrative for the film.
