During a summer visit to his grandmother, a confident young boy named Peter discovers a group of friendly dinosaurs called the Turbozaurs living nearby. When an obsessive paleontologist arrives in town determined to capture and cage them, Peter takes it upon himself to protect his new friends. But each time he calls on the Turbozaurs to help solve local disasters - a crumbling bridge, a flooding amusement park, a collapsing mine - the villain closes in on their trail. Crippled by self-doubt and guilt, Peter abandons the Turbozaurs to keep them safe, only for them to seek him out and restore his confidence. With everything on the line, Peter must lead one final daring rescue to free a captured Turbozaur and outwit the villain for good.
