At a café in Vienna, the writer Jesper meets the former Viennese child, the singer Fritz. When Fritz wins a trip to Denmark, they follow him, and here they discover that Fritz's former foster family is ruined. The family's friendliness - and not least the daughter's sweetness - is intact. So the two men now come up with a creative plan to get the family back on their feet.
