Assucena Assucena is a singer, songwriter and actress. Born in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, she moved to São Paulo as a teenager to study History at the Federal University of São Paulo (USP), where she began her artistic career. She began her artistic career in 2011 in the university band Preto por Preto, which later became As Bahias e a Cozinha Mineira, and changed its name again to As Baías. Alongside Raquel Virgínia and Rafael Acerbi, she remained in the band until 2021, when she left to pursue a solo career.
