Emily was raised in Chicago by Guatemalan Immigrant parents, who inspired her every day to work as hard as I possibly can. Her mom and aunt both watched a lot of Novelas and she was moved by stories and the drama. It was when she got a VHS tape of Cinderella with Brandy and Whitney Houston it was clear to her she I wanted to perform for the rest of her life.
She went to Columbia College Chicago for Acting and minored in women and gender studies.
