A graduate of Nanyang Technological University’s Art, Design and Media faculty (2012), Esmonde is a cook, gardener, and amateur naturalist/forager. He also works on various film and theatre productions, especially in the area of art direction. Notable works include Oomoonbeings, a performance commissioned for the Singapore Night Festival 2013, and Theatre Memories, an exhibition held at the Arts House in conjunction with SG50.
